Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential issues or liabilities in civil drawings related to our products.
  • Coordinate with various departments regarding take-offs, fabrications, load sizes, delivery challenges, and distances.
  • Work alongside the Sales Team to prioritize tasks and ensure timely delivery of estimates.
  • Provide detailed estimates based on civil drawings, clarifying items that require interpretation to deliver accurate and timely estimates to our customers.
  • Offer value-engineered solutions utilizing our products by analyzing plans and preparing solutions for our team to pursue.
  • Gradually develop the ability to recognize and analyze market trends and competition through civil drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to deliver precise and optimal solutions for estimates based on civil drawings.
  • Gather essential documents, such as plans, blueprints, technical drawings, county specifications, and project specifications, organizing them for easy retrieval during the estimating process.
  • Stay informed about industry changes and participate in relevant organizations within the storm drainage market.
Competencies:
  • Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prepare submittals and small fabrication drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, with high proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and engineering software.
  • Understanding and adherence to business processes.
  • Detail-oriented and diligent in work.
  • Basic understanding of business functions and processes.
  • Strong learning ability, self-starter, and driven to achieve high performance.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond basic requirements.
  • Knowledge or field experience related to utilities, construction, storm drainage, and water quality.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plan drawings.
  • Strong capabilities in data compilation, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Adept at planning and prioritizing multiple estimates within designated timeframes with accuracy and efficiency.
