Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. As a member of our medical team, you will play a critical role in providing surgical care to patients and ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures, including setting up surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique.
  • Assist in moving and positioning patients for surgery, adhering to established safety guidelines.
  • Properly care for and handle specimens taken for laboratory analysis.
Requirements
  • Hold and maintain a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • Documented designation of Grandfathered status as a Surgical Technologist, or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technologists in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
