We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to our adult day center participants.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Independently assessing and evaluating the health of adult day center participants.
- Providing care and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, exercising independent judgment following established guidelines.
- Documenting all patient findings and nursing actions in the participant chart and other records as appropriate.
- Maintaining confidentiality of records and of individuals' personal health information at all times.
- Assisting with medication management as needed.
- Performing treatments and procedures ordered by a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Implementing emergency procedures as needed.
- Providing case management and follow-up for participants and caregivers, providing health education, assessment, nutrition education, promotion of safe caregiving, and prevention of illness and injury.
- Administering medications following guidelines and as ordered by a physician or an advanced registered nurse practitioner.
- Assisting with maintaining supply levels in the center and with the maintenance of equipment in sanitary and operative condition.
- Assisting with participant activities of daily living as needed.
- Assisting with daily flow of participant activities and Center operations.
- Assisting with group and individual activities, answering questions, and counseling participants and caregivers using professional and independent judgment.
- Assuming responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor ensuring proper functions of the Center.
- Attending staff meetings and family conferences as scheduled and serving on Ad Hoc Committees as necessary.

The successful candidate must have:
- An Associate's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
- A valid Registered Nurse license in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes, or eligibility to practice nursing in accordance with Section 210, Florida Administrative Code.
The salary for this position is $25.00 per hour. The work environment is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
