We are seeking an Electrical Engineer - Renewable Power (PV) to join our West Division. This role entails overseeing and guiding all stages of engineering for Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Microgrid Design/Build projects. Responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, performing engineering calculations, and developing system designs and layouts.

Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000+ based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and oversight of engineering phases for Solar, BESS, and Microgrid projects, including feasibility assessments and design layouts.
  • Estimate costs for renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate with utility providers and manage interconnection applications.
  • Conduct financial analyses of Solar and BESS projects considering utility rates and available incentives.
  • Implement and uphold engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support sales and business development initiatives.
  • Provide technical input for estimates and bid proposals, reviewing design documents for constructability and offering value-engineering insights.
  • Assist other engineers and construction managers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Occasionally assume the role of Project Manager during project installations.
  • Review and approve design change requests from field engineers.
  • Engage in pre-sale activities, representing SitelogIQ's expertise in the Renewable Power sector.
  • Act as a commissioning agent during the installation and startup of BESS/Microgrid systems.
  • Represent SitelogIQ as an expert in battery storage, microgrid systems, and renewable power controls.
  • Participate in industry events to maintain and enhance expertise.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical marketing materials such as white papers and case studies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in renewable energy and microgrid project development, engineering, and cost estimation.
  • A collaborative team player ready to contribute where needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to survey and access customer facilities as necessary.
