Overview:

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to join our Disabilities Services team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of individuals within our care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses to address the healthcare needs of individuals in our Residential Program.
2. Maintain effective communication with program staff, management, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
3. Provide direct support to individuals as required, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and other relevant clinical practices.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; flexibility may be required for extended hours on short notice.

Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Driver's License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Direct Support Professional in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities field
