Job Summary

Segers Aero Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team in Fairhope, AL. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for monitoring and communicating the progress of work orders, ensuring all work racks are inventoried and 95% complete before release to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize priority parts for IHR in all areas with the assistance of local suppliers.
  • Coordinate parts movements with inventory, procurement, and production until build racks are released to production.
  • Update Aerotrac reports and work in progress (WIP) records.
  • Perform inventory on all work racks after inspection completion.
  • Verify inventory and ensure all scrap on work racks is entered in the inspection workbench.
  • Monitor outstanding parts on assigned orders and communicate shortages as needed.
  • Recommend part exchanges for parts not meeting build dates.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Logistics, Production, and Sales teams.
  • Collaborate with Inventory and IOC Leads, Logistics Manager, and attend departmental meetings.
  • Ensure a clean and safe workspace free from hazards.
  • Travel as required to support business needs.
  • Confer with manager/lead to recommend changes for increased efficiency and improvement.
  • Attend all safety and health training sessions in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company attendance policy and work overtime as needed.
  • Observe and practice all safety procedures and personal policies.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated time, priority, and stress management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense and use initiative to solve problems.
  • Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Compliance with OSHA requirements and standards, including wearing required PPE.
  • Normal vision and hearing, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively using a computer keyboard.
  • Normal dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Computer skills to run specific company software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly and more with assistance occasionally.
  • Regularly able to reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and stand.
  • Ability to walk around regularly using steps occasionally.
  • US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.
Education and Experience

At least 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is required. Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus. Experience working in a manufacturing and/or MRO environment is a plus. Computer experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required. Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Work Conditions

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Noise is generally loud.
