Job Summary

We are looking for Assistant General Managers to join our fast-paced environment and have a passion for our Veterans and their families. As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for promoting great customer service, ensuring safe food quality, restaurant cleanliness, and sanitation, as well as directing the Patriot Caf, Patriot Retail, and/or Patriot Brew in the VA Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote exceptional customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, including inventory control, labor cost, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement local promotional programs to drive sales and increase profits.
  • Supervise assigned personnel and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Report to the General Manager and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of direct food/retail management experience.
  • A proven track record of building sales, increasing profits, and staff development.
  • Prior inventory management, supply cost, and shrinkage controls, as well as P&L management experience.
  • Ability to assess business needs and problem-solve.
  • Hands-on leadership with a strong focus on service and hospitality.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with POS Systems.
  • ServSafe certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
  • Associate Degree preferred, but not required, in Business, Hospitality, or Management.
