Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team at The University Of Iowa. As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of nursing practice.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Master's degree in Nursing and current licensure to practice nursing in Iowa. The ideal candidate will have certification in a specialty area and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in GI is desired but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Assure clinical competency and expertise in the area of specialization
  • Function independently or as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver, and evaluate health care for motility disorder patients
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and administration to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care
  • Determine nursing care requirements and develop programs for motility disorder patients
  • Promote health maintenance across the continuum of health from outpatient to inpatient settings and back to home care arena
  • Perform medical diagnostic, therapeutic procedures, and prescribe medications when a collaborative practice agreement is in place
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in Iowa
  • Certification in a specialty area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in GI (desired)
Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
