The University Of Iowa is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our team in the Department of Gastroenterology. As an ARNP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our department's mission.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Master's degree in Nursing, with a preferred specialization in Gastroenterology. You will be responsible for managing the healthcare needs of adult patients with various gastrointestinal disorders, including motility disorders. Your clinical expertise and excellent communication skills will enable you to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and specialty care to adult patients with gastroenterological conditions, utilizing your advanced knowledge and skills in clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and administration to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services, adhering to universal precautions and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Assess patient needs and develop programs for optimal health maintenance, spanning outpatient to inpatient settings and back to home care environments.
  • Perform medical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribe medications, and provide anticipatory guidance and counseling to patients and families.
  • Document patient assessments, plan of care, and generate health reports for outgoing correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing, with a preferred specialization in Gastroenterology.
  • A current license to practice nursing in Iowa and certification in a relevant specialty area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in GI is desired, although not required.
Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

We offer a competitive salary range based on experience and qualifications. The actual salary will be determined by the successful candidate's background and skillset.
