Job Summary

Cayuga Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Addiction Medicine Physician to lead our addiction services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients struggling with addiction, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat patients with addiction.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction.
    • Prescribe medication and other therapies to support recovery.
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide medical leadership and oversight to our addiction services team.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures that support patient care.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Education and Training
    • Stay current with the latest medical research, treatments, and technologies related to addiction medicine.
    • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and peer review activities to maintain expertise.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in medicine (MD) or osteopathic medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in addiction medicine or a related specialty.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
