Job Overview

Salary Range: $62,000 - $75,000 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts general electrical tasks, including the installation of new machinery and performing maintenance and repair duties with minimal supervision.
  • Engages in routine work that involves basic layouts for new installations and performs analysis and repair on existing systems.
  • Receives guidance and minimal oversight when handling complex assignments related to major equipment and installations.
  • Works with primary and secondary electrical lines, both DC and AC, including single and three-phase circuits.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs various electrical apparatus such as lighting systems, motors, generators, hoists, circuit breakers, heating units, elevators, forklifts, power tools, conduit systems, and other related electrical transmission systems.
  • Interprets wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to complete tasks effectively.
  • Utilizes a diverse range of electrician's hand tools along with voltmeters, ammeters, wattmeters, and other testing instruments.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant code standards, including building codes, NEC, and NFPA – 70E regulations.

Additional Duties:

  • May be required to work night shifts.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of formal electrical trade schooling or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical shop practices and safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and arc flash procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of measuring instruments.
