Job Title: Tire/Utility Technician

Rock Region METRO is seeking a skilled Tire/Utility Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tires are DOT compliant on all transit and support vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform dynamic tire balancing, tire and wheel assembly changes, regrooving, inflation maintenance, utilizing best in class tire related machinery
  • Maintain and repair all tires according to industry standards
  • Monitor tire maintenance through periodic tire inspections, utilizing specialized software and a combination of electronic digital devices
  • Maintain customer tire inventory by utilizing best inventory management practices
  • Collaborate with assigned administrators and staff to accurately document work performed
Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement, issued by the Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles within 120 days of employment
  • Must have a good driving record as defined by METRO
  • Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background check, a DOT medical examination, and drug screen
  • Experience in automotive/heavy-duty maintenance industry
