Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for conducting medical imaging examinations utilizing X-rays and other diagnostic imaging modalities on patients, producing images of designated areas of the body. These images are subsequently analyzed by a physician for diagnostic purposes and disease management. Under direct supervision, this role involves preparing patients for imaging procedures, positioning them accurately, operating imaging equipment, and applying expertise to minimize radiation exposure to patients.

Responsibilities:
- Adheres to physician directives regarding the specific areas of the patient's body requiring imaging.
- Guides patients through the imaging process, addressing any concerns to alleviate anxiety and enhance their comprehension of the procedure.
- Ensures proper patient positioning and adjusts imaging apparatus to achieve high-quality images of targeted body parts.
- Implements measures to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to both the patient and themselves.
- Follows established protocols and techniques, including patient shielding, to guarantee accurate and dependable diagnostic imaging services.
- Completes necessary documentation for each imaging procedure to maintain accurate patient records and promote effective communication among healthcare professionals.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program.

Required: ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - DxBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare.
