This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean work environment at Saint Joseph's College. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning all cookware, small wares, and items used in food production and serving.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established cleaning procedures and protocols.
- Practice cleaning-as-you-go techniques to ensure a smooth and efficient food service operation.
- Exercise safe techniques and practices when interacting with equipment, food products, chemicals, and colleagues.
- Ensure utensils, plates, glasses, and other items are readily available for guests without compromising cleanliness.
You will also assist chefs with basic food preparation and be cross-trained to work various food service stations. Food Operations prioritizes safety and sanitation, adhering to Health Department, OSHA, and ADA regulations. ServSafe certification is required, and you must provide a valid certificate within 120 days.
Requirements and Qualifications- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude to foster a cohesive working environment.
- Teamwork and a willingness to help others, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
- Interest in training and a desire to learn new skills, with a focus on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment per OSHA guidelines and adherence to Maine State Food Code.
This is a Per Diem position with night and weekend hours, offering flexible scheduling.
