Job Title: Energy Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Specialist to join our team at Gerdau. The successful candidate will provide technical coordination and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret energy data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Study operations and failures to lower costs and improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems in substations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of substations.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations.
  • Conduct utility audits and identify areas for savings. Implement energy conservation programs and strategies.
  • Analyze energy consumption data for forecasting, performance reporting, and recommending further improvements for the plant.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and standard procedures.
  • Participate in the development of the Annual Action Plans.
  • Train operators and maintenance on ARP practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and industry regulations.
