Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care is a large, growing emergency and specialty veterinary practice located in Portland, Maine. We provide exceptional veterinary care and client service to our patients and their owners. Our specialties include emergency & critical care, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, neurology, and cardiology.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer generous evening and weekend shift differentials, an extensive benefits plan, and a sign-on bonus of up to $2500.00.

Job Description

This is a full-time 2nd shift opening for a licensed technician or experienced veterinary assistant in our emergency and critical care department. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts, 2 pm to12 am. You will have the ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and collaborate with other team members to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Requirements
  • Veterinary technician license or certification
  • A minimum of two years of veterinary experience

As a member of our team, you will have access to ongoing training and education opportunities, including our mentorship program within the emergency and critical care department. You will also have the opportunity to work with a variety of cases and develop your skills in emergency and critical care.
