As a Culinary Specialist in the U.S. Army, you will be responsible for preparing and serving large-scale meals to Soldiers. Your duties will include preparing and serving meals in the field and at home stations, ordering and inspecting food supplies, and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and sauté as prescribed by Army recipes.
- Operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment.
- Must have an interest in joining the Army.
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien.
- 17 to 34 years old.
- Healthy and in good physical condition.
- In good moral standing with no felony-level offenses.
- Must be able to meet height/weight standards.
- No major medical procedures that would prohibit you from service.
- No tattoos on the hands, neck, or face.
- Pass the ASVAB test.
- Up to $20,000 enlistment bonuses.
