Work Environment: This role allows for remote work, but candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from one of our offices for occasional in-person requirements.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: Hourly rate of $20.75, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the credentialing inbox and incoming faxes, directing them to the appropriate personnel or responding as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with New York Primary Diagnostic Monitor regulations by conducting remote quality reviews of radiologists.
  • Maintain the MD-Staff database and physician records, ensuring all credentials are up to date.
  • Update physician demographic information in Salesforce as required.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process by sending initial applications and supporting physicians throughout.
  • Handle reappointment applications and ensure all documentation is collected.
  • Gather credentialing documents and perform necessary verifications according to Joint Commission standards.
  • Submit provisioning and setup requests via the ServiceNow portal, coordinating IT appointments for physicians.
  • Collaborate with leadership to review applications for privileges, addressing any concerns.
  • Complete state licensing and facility credentialing applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Communicate with physicians and state boards throughout the licensing process.
  • Document and process medical records requests and subpoenas, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance departmental knowledge and skills.
  • Assist with additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years in healthcare credentialing.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with medical credentialing software, preferably MD-Staff.
  • Certification in Medical Staff Services (e.g., Credentialing 101 or CPCS) is preferred.
