Candidate Preferences:
Priority will be given to local candidates.
Contract Duration:
This position is for several months with potential for extension.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
Overtime Expectations:
Overtime may be required, including weekdays, weekends, shutdowns, holidays, and odd hours.
Travel Requirements:
Travel is necessary for this role.
Travel Details:
- Frequency: Regular travel is expected.
- Locations: Domestic and International travel, primarily to Mexico and Canada, with possible trips to Japan.
- Purpose: Travel will involve equipment installation, robot programming, and controls engineering work.
- Timing: Immediate travel may be required based on experience level and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform online and offline robot and PLC programming.
- Oversee equipment installation and ensure compliance with body weld standards for new installations and model changes.
- Validate all safety devices and monitor production activities in the body weld shop.
- Learn and understand BPE standards, set up equipment, and provide training on new machinery.
- Assist with production processes through the Start of Production (SOP) phase.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems to maintain operational efficiency.
