Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Tech Certified to join our team. As an OR Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for procedures, maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations, handing instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparation, positioning, and transportation.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and supplies, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with Central Processing Department (CPD) technicians to ensure efficient case preparation and turnover.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; certification as an OR Technician preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in surgical assisting, with CPR certification a plus.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, stand for long periods, and move heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Salary and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

On-Call Schedule

The OR Tech will be required to participate in the on-call schedule, working approximately one weekend per month.
