McLean Hospital, a leading psychiatric hospital, seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner in Charge to oversee day-to-day clinical services on an inpatient unit. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Nursing and experience in treating acute psychiatric illness in inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Document clinical visits, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
- Participate in team rounds, meetings, and administrative activities to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Oversee medical care, communicate with referring sources, and attend program and hospital meetings.
- Supervise medical trainees, nursing trainees, and others as needed.
- Facilitate integration of program services with other clinical programs and non-clinical departments.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited graduate school.
- Board certification in psychiatric/mental health advanced practice nursing (CNS or NP).
- Current, active, unrestricted licensure as a Massachusetts CNS or NP with prescriptive authority.
- Basic computer skills to use electronic systems for communication and clinical purposes.
