Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse

The nurse practitioner will be responsible for providing ongoing psychiatric and medical assessments, case management, and psychopharmacological treatment, including prescribing medications and monitoring non-psychiatric medical conditions.
Requirements:
- A current or imminent unrestricted national nurse practitioner board licensure with prescriptive authority.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited National League of Nursing graduate school.
- Board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 24 months experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric setting or related experience.
- Experience in an Emergency Room is recommended.
Key Skills:
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
- Good organizational skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility.
- Ability to manage irregular or extended hours when necessary.
- Energy level sufficient to accomplish tasks under stress and maintain a safe/therapeutic-staffing pattern.
