Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist Position

Job Summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Human Oncology, is seeking a medical physicist with strong clinical skills to engage in radiation oncology physics activities. The successful candidate will participate in high-level clinical development and application of radiation oncology imaging, treatment planning, and delivery systems to further the advancement of treatment options and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in clinical radiation oncology physics services provided at the UW Health Cancer Centers, including coverage in the department's outreach clinics.
  • Contribute to clinical research and development in alignment with the programmatic goals of the department.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Work Environment: The position will be situated across 3 locations with a major expansion in 2023 introducing new technology commissioning and development opportunities with proton therapy and upright treatments. The UW-Madison campus is a state-of-the-art integrated clinical and research facility that includes the latest technological advancements.
