About the Organization:
Addison Group is collaborating with a reputable healthcare provider in Plano, TX, to fill two positions for Outpatient Collections Specialists. These openings have arisen due to internal staffing adjustments, providing a fantastic opportunity for committed professionals to become part of a vibrant team.
Role Summary:
We are in search of flexible and meticulous individuals to oversee outpatient collections for our client. This position entails managing insurance follow-ups for various therapies, including physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and wound care claims across both governmental and commercial payors.
Key Duties:
- Oversee outpatient collections, encompassing claims, appeals, and denials.
- Employ templates for appeals and investigate denied claims.
- Manage edits and re-bills, which may involve contract review and basic calculations.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of reimbursement protocols.
- Adapt to a dynamic environment with shifting responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in outpatient Medicaid and commercial collections.
- Strong background in collections; familiarity with UB-04 forms is advantageous.
- Consistent employment history with minimal job changes.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience with hospital billing systems such as Wellsky and HMS.
