About the Role

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing and packaging products for shipment, utilizing a forklift to move and load materials, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare products for shipment by accurately labeling and packaging items.
  2. Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move and load materials.
  3. Maintain accurate shipping records, including tracking numbers and delivery schedules.
  4. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
  5. Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as needed.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in shipping and logistics preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of shipping software.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
