Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support all activities related to HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projects
  • Measure and cut piping as per specifications
  • Perform soldering, brazing, threading, grooving, and installation of hangers, as well as carbon steel piping (up to 24 inches)
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions, breakages, or leaks
  • Conduct tests on piping systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency
  • Engage professionally with management, superintendents, and clients
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Identify, report, and rectify unsafe working conditions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete projects effectively
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • 2-3 years of experience in pipe fitting
  • Personal hand tools necessary for the position
  • A professional demeanor
  • Strong communication skills to interact with Foreman and follow instructions
  • Punctuality and readiness to work in uniform
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Successful completion of a drug screening
  • Ability to identify, install, and repair mechanical piping systems
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficiency in recognizing, setting up, and operating hand and power tools relevant to the trade
  • Knowledge of cutting and welding techniques
  • Commitment to basic safety practices.
