Sleep Disorders Specialist

The Sleep Disorders Specialist, under the direction of the Manager, coordinates the daily operations of the Sleep Laboratory. This role is accountable for monitoring and accessing Sleep Lab quality, policies and procedures, staff and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities- Performs polysomnographic studies in a clinical setting, including oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure titrations.
- Scores studies and formulates reports for physician interpretation.
- Documents all pertinent patient events according to department policy.
- Communicates instructions, results, and relative information to patients, physicians, and family members.
This role requires advanced expertise of Polysomnographic Care modalities, therapies, equipment, and medications. The ideal candidate must be able to read, write, and follow flow chart protocols as appropriate.
