Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at MillenniumSoft. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials, parts, and finished products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks, to move materials and products within the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records and develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area or process.
  • Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
  • Work within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to quality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
  • Mainly manual labor, unloading trucks, and stacking pallets, with weights under 25 lbs.
  • Ability to verify labels on boxes and matching to pallets, with attention to detail and scanning experience.
  • Stand-up forklift experience required.
  • Basic skills training in an analytical or scientific method or operational process area.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English.

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick or type, which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers.

The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration. Occasionally, the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
