Material Handler

Position : Material Handler 

Location : Andover, MA

Duration : 1 Month Contract

Start Time : 08:00 AM

End Time : 05:00 PM

Total Hours/week : 42.50( Mon- Fri)

Qualifications:

• Highly detailed and organized
• Knowledge of inventory control processes and material transactions
• Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
• Database management skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
• Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
• Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills
• Knowledge of SAP or other MRP software a plus
• Detail and process oriented individual
• Self-Motivated -Does not require significant supervision to perform daily obligations
• Intuitive problem solver with Continuous Improvement/LEAN understanding a plus
• Relies on metrics and data to make informed decisions

Responsibilities:

• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels and notifies Planner/Buyer of low stock conditions.
• Records inventory transactions, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
• Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
• Processes works with Planner/Buyer to resolve invoicing and receipt issues
• Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures
• Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, and assisting internal customers
• Issues parts from inventory as requested by internal customer work orders
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
