The Senior Maintenance Technician will operate from our manufacturing facility, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role encompasses executing mechanical repairs, diagnosing issues, and conducting routine preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include performing assigned electrical tasks and ensuring swift resolution of equipment malfunctions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of mechanical systems and electrical wiring, along with proficiency in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety protocols is essential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting mechanical repairs, such as replacing bearings, seals, and shafts, as well as interpreting wiring diagrams and connecting motors.
  • Employing the facility's CMMS to efficiently document and manage maintenance tasks, offering insights for optimal operations.
  • Interpreting machine error notifications and collaborating with operators to accurately identify equipment issues.
  • Following SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations, promptly reporting any incidents or near misses to a supervisor.
  • Maintaining a tidy work area after completing each task.
  • Addressing maintenance requests through the reporting application or direct communication with the production team, ensuring timely documentation of repairs.
  • Executing routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, including checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and other preventative measures.
  • Documenting and escalating issues that require further attention, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Prioritizing maintenance tasks based on their effect on production schedules.
  • Assisting in managing the facility's parts inventory to guarantee the availability of essential components.
  • Providing support to production and operational teams on various projects as necessary.
  • Researching and troubleshooting maintenance challenges using repair manuals and equipment schematics to identify machine failures.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a comparable role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with sensor and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electric motors.
  • Familiarity with Stick Welding.
