The Maintenance Tech III will work out of our Brownwood Texas manufacturing facility, and report to the Maintenance Manager. The key responsibilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Responsible for mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and performing regular preventative maintenance and electrical work as assigned and promptly. Examples include changing bearings, seals, and shafts, along with replacing hardware, reading wire diagrams, and wiring motorsAnalyze machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment issuesFollow and comply with machine/facility Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company safety policies. This includes reporting accidents, property damage, or near misses to a supervisorMaintain a clean work environment after the completion of a taskRespond to maintenance requests submitted via the reporting app or communicated by the production team and ensure to document the repair/maintenance within the maintenance records. Perform routine maintenance of machines and parts, such as inspecting drivers, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actionsReport and document issues that require escalation when neededPrioritize maintenance requests based on impact on the production scheduleHelp maintain parts inventory for the facilitySupport production line and general operation teams on a variety of projects when neededResearch / troubleshoot maintenance issues using repair manuals, equipment schematics, and other available resources to diagnose machine malfunctionsOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school, GED or equivalentForklift certified5 to 10 years of experience in general repair /equipment maintenance, construction, electrical or related fieldsUnderstanding of the lockout/tagout proceduresBasic mechanical skillsWelding experienceElectrical experienceExperience with working on drag conveyors, screw conveyors, gearboxes, pulley systems, chains and sprocketsExperience with control wiring and three phase 240 and 480 voltsExperience working with Hydraulic and pneumatic controls Able to support off-shift maintenance issues when skills are not immediately available during operating hours which includes working overtimeAble to perform basic 3-phase and single-phase industrial electrical repairsAble to perform diagnostic tests with a basic electrical multimeter (voltage, current draw, and continuity)Able to read blueprints and electrical drawingsMust be flexible and have the ability to be a team player in a positive and professional mannerism Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be eligible to work in the USPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSensor and PLC TroubleshootingKnowledge of VFD Controls Experience troubleshooting electric motorsExperience with Stick WeldingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAbility to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 lbs.
