Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UACS Afterschool Instructor to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Netter Center for Community Partnerships, you will play a vital role in leading after-school programming at our UACS schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise students and participants in the Netter UACS Enrichment Program
  • Provide tutoring, program planning, and implementation to support student success
  • Regularly report tasks completion and program updates to Site Director or supervisor
  • Coordinate program promotion and outreach to the surrounding community and program families
  • Ensure students and participants are engaged and having fun
  • Attend professional development trainings to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Implement proper Netter UACS policies and procedures
  • Ensure the safety and awareness of students, including following COVID-19 safety protocols
  • Capture attendance of students
  • Demonstrate positive youth and community development principles at all times
Requirements
  • High school degree required, plus at least 1-3 years of experience working with school-age children
  • Experience in K-8 urban educational settings is required
  • After-school experience preferred
  • Strong candidates will have experience in facilitating successful youth development programs
  • Must possess a track record of successful collaboration and communication, and be organized, dependable, flexible, and seeking to grow and improve
Working Conditions

This is a temporary, non-exempt position. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and obtain necessary clearances to work with children.
