About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomy Research Plot Technician Intern to join our team at Land O'Lakes. As a key member of our Answer Plot Program, you will play a critical role in supporting our research efforts and contributing to the development of innovative agronomic solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of regional research plots, including equipment preparation and operation, seed preparation, and field operations.
  • Execute foliar applications, collect tissue samples, and conduct root ratings and other metadata collection as necessary.
  • Responsible for accurate mixing and application of fertilizer and/or chemicals per blend sheet specifications.
  • Work safely following safety rules, regulations, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on agronomic products, trends, and precision agriculture technologies.
Requirements
  • Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in an agricultural-related major or program.
  • General knowledge of regional crop growth and development.
  • Basic math skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to obtain a pesticide applicator's license.
  • Frequently move, lift, and carry boxes, tubs, and tools weighing 50-60 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons and occasionally stay overnight.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
