Cardiovascular Sonographer

Join the County of San Bernardino, CA team as a Cardiovascular Sonographer and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiogram examinations. Your expertise will be essential in explaining procedures to patients, obtaining informed consent, and reviewing, selecting, and storing ultrasound images.

• Perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiogram examinations
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent
• Review, select, and store ultrasound images
• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures and monitor patients before, during, and after testing
• Assist with the training of student technologists

• Current cardiac specific certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of full-time experience as an ultrasound technologist in an acute care setting

• At least one year of experience in echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms
