We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Charge Nurse to join our team at Baptist Health System KY & IN. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for the organization and coordination of daily OR operations, ensuring seamless and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to OR staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement OR schedules, staff assignments, and resource allocation plans to meet patient needs and optimize OR utilization.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient OR operations.
- Monitor and analyze OR performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Five years of clinical experience as a staff nurse, with a minimum of two years in a leadership or charge nurse role.
- Current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing and a valid BSN degree.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced OR environment.
