Nursing Assistant

At River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are seeking compassionate and self-driven CNAs to join our team as Resident Care Specialists. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nurses.
Our Resident Care Specialists ensure that residents' personal care needs are being met in accordance with their wishes and care plan objectives, while promoting a home-like environment for the physical and psychosocial well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to residents' needs and ensure call lights are within reach.
- Regularly check on residents who are unable to call for assistance.
- Provide direct resident care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Explain procedures to residents and assist with daily activities.
- Assist with bowel and bladder functions, as well as preparing residents for appointments and activities.
- Transport residents safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Monitor residents' activities and report any irregularities to nurse managers.
- Participate in and receive nursing report upon reporting and departing to/from work.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and nursing staff.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Prior experience as a nursing assistant in a long-term care setting is preferred.
- Successful completion of a State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
- Good standing in the state registry.
Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: 32 hours per week, with same-day pay available.
