Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations to join our team at Flextronics. This role will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality, and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and be responsible for the lines' success.
  • Evaluate daily/regularly plant operating performance and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Guide a team of professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery, and acknowledge requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and explore operational problems and advise on their resolution.
  • Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational comprehension and capability.
  • Solicit and evaluate ideas for plant improvements and contribute with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
  • Provide technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
  • Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance of standards.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • SMT experience.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Microsoft office skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Lean background.
