Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
- Design and implement corrective exercise programs, incorporating proper equipment usage and body positioning.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families on proper use of wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetic appliances.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Licensure to practice physical therapy in NYS.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire date.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance.
