We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Trailer Maintenance Technician to enhance our Maintenance Shop Team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct certified DOT and Preventative Maintenance inspections, along with necessary follow-up repairs on a variety of vehicles in a shop setting.
  • Collaborate with Service Writers to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Perform adjustments and repairs on trailer equipment, including brakes, air lines, auxiliary systems, and more.
  • Diagnose and repair trailer systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions and implement repairs.
  • Determine required parts for each job and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with mobility driving standards.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trailer Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one promptly.
  • Possession of necessary hand tools for the role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
