Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wexford Health Sources Inc. as a member of our correctional healthcare staff. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care and support to inmates in a correctional facility setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff with daily operations and provide direct patient care to inmates
  • Perform activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing
  • Collect and maintain records of vital signs, fluid intake and output, and report on inmate condition
  • Follow established infection control practices and emergency protocols
  • Assist inmates with ambulation, turning, and repositioning, and range of motion activities
  • Cleanse bedside units, workrooms, and equipment, and assist with washing and sterilizing equipment
  • Prepare and maintain written reports and records as assigned
  • Assist with medications and respond to call lights promptly and courteously
Requirements
  • Nursing Assistant certificate
  • Current CPR Certification
  • 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Completion of a certification program from an accredited Nursing Assistant program
