Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. in Dixon, IL. As a CNA, you will assist nursing staff with daily operations and provide direct patient care to inmates at the Dixon Correctional Center.

Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff with daily operations, including checking vital signs, height and weight, and collecting and maintaining records of fluid intake and output.
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting inmates with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.
  • Follow established infection control practices and emergency protocols.
  • Assist inmates in wheelchairs, on stretchers, and ambulating.
  • Promote and encourage patient hydration and elimination.
  • Assist with medications ordinarily self-administered when specifically ordered by a physician.
  • Respond to call lights promptly and courteously.
Requirements
  • Nursing Assistant certificate
  • Current CPR Certification
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Completion of a certification program from an accredited Nursing Assistant program
