Chemistry and Biology Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Chemistry and Biology Teacher to join our team at PUC Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners and align with California state standards.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive school community.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive feedback to drive student growth.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advance your teaching skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic achievement and social responsibility.
- Possession of a valid Preliminary or Clear Single Subject or Multiple Subject Credential.
- University Internship Credential eligibility (Intern eligibility letter required) or qualification for a permit if the applicant does not possess a credential.
- Satisfy Basic Skills Requirement (met through coursework and/or passing scores on standardized tests).
- Solid knowledge of the subject matter, including California State Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments.
- Knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Able to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data.

- Must be flexible and team-oriented.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work.
