Kindred Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nursing Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in our specialty hospitals. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and that our staff is equipped to provide it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the hospital staff to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and to provide guidance and support to nursing personnel.
- Manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, and review staffing and budgetary needs.
- Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff, and assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
- Develop and implement nursing protocols and procedures, and provide continuing education and staff development opportunities.
- Assess patient needs, participate in providing nursing care, and ensure that services are carried out and documented appropriately.
- Maintain patient health care records and supply inventory records, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Promote adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.
Requirements:
- Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse / RN license in the state.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Two years of Registered Nurse / RN nursing experience in a hospital.
- One to two years supervisory/leadership experience.
