The Head of Marketing Communications is instrumental in defining the organization's public persona. Key responsibilities include formulating communication strategies that resonate with the organization's mission and amplify its presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design a holistic communication strategy that ensures a robust presence across diverse social media channels.
  • Align internal and external communications with the overarching objectives of the organization.
  • Foster media relationships to optimize opportunities for earned media coverage.
  • Guarantee consistency and high standards in all disseminated information.
  • Collaborate with Board committees, the Executive Committee, and the Board of Directors to execute communication strategies.
  • Lead a diverse team, supervise support personnel, and manage internal communications effectively.
  • Engage with contractors for communication, advertising, public relations, and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay informed about potential organizational risks and be ready to address them proactively.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of communication efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing within a large organization.
  • Familiarity with the conservation and hunting sectors, along with a solid understanding of outdoor enthusiasts' concerns.
  • Proven expertise in social media management, including platform optimization techniques.
  • A robust network of media contacts and a track record of generating media coverage.
  • Ability to convey complex issues clearly through data visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with team members and senior leadership.
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to completing tasks efficiently and assessing communication effectiveness.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Compensation Overview:

  • Salary range: $125,000 - $140,000
