About the Role

We are seeking a skilled General Painter to join our team at WORKS by Jesse DeBenedictis, LLC. As a General Painter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality painting services in various construction settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare work surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, priming, and sealing surfaces.
  • Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers.
  • Power wash exterior surfaces.
  • Make basic carpentry repairs to surfaces as needed.
  • Clean and vacuum walls to ensure proper adherence.
  • Tape off areas when necessary.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of painting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Manage all aspects of interior and exterior painting projects, from setup to breakdown, consistent with WORKS specifications and quality standards.
  • Review work quality with Lead Painter to ensure the finished product meets WORKS standards and expectations.
  • Keep work areas and paint mixing areas clean at all times.
  • Follow guidance provided by Field Supervisors and Project Managers, as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and subcontractors on a continuous basis.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to assigned projects.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience in a residential setting.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Effective communication skills in a team environment, including with clients.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders or staging to 50 feet, and lift lbs. continuously throughout the day.
  • Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements for cleaning and disposing of paint.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred; company sponsorship is an option.
