Job Overview

Amerifleet Transportation, Inc. is seeking Local Vehicle Operators to safely and efficiently transport passenger vehicles within the region. We value teamwork and are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. This position offers two shifts: 8am - 12pm and 12pm - 4pm, with a requirement to work on Fridays. This is a part-time role, with availability needed for 3-4 days a week.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $17 per hour
  • Flexible AM and PM shifts
  • Mandatory availability on Fridays
  • Potential for Driver Referral Bonus ranging from $250 to $500

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age of 23 years.
  • Candidates aged 65 and above may require additional review for insurance purposes.
  • Valid and current driver's license is essential.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
  • No smoking, vaping, or consumption of food/drinks in customer vehicles or service locations.
  • At least one year of driving experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using smartphones and various applications is required.
  • Willingness to drive in diverse weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 150 miles from the base location.
  • Capability to enter and exit various types of vehicles, including cars, vans, and box trucks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary.
  • Understanding of laws related to motor vehicle operation on public roads.
  • Professional appearance is required (clean collared shirt, appropriate shorts/pants, well-groomed).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver vehicles to customers at their residences or businesses, ensuring a professional appearance and completing an Electronic Condition Report.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles and return them to the hub, maintaining a presentable look and performing necessary documentation.
  • Transport vehicles for servicing, repairs, or detailing, ensuring proper documentation and return to the hub.
  • Conduct inventory and inspections on the lot as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with clients and management.
  • Present both electronic and hard copies of vehicle-related documents.
  • Submit required documentation for processing.
  • Perform minor cleaning tasks on vehicles as necessary.
  • Flexibility to perform all tasks as needed based on operational demands.
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
