We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This role involves safely operating trucks to deliver food products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Salary and BenefitsThe expected base rate for this position is between $34.78 and $36.91 per hour. Additionally, you will receive overtime compensation and a retention bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Truck Driver at US Foods, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely driving trucks to customers and meeting scheduled delivery times
- Carefully unloading products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas
- Verifying the accuracy of delivery with customers and obtaining proper signatures
- Handling collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Providing professional customer service to enhance our client experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- At least six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate a manual transmission (may be required in specific locations)
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read and communicate in English
This role requires:
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ pounds of product repetitively during each shift
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift)
