Culinary Ambassador

Roosevelt General Hospital is seeking a skilled Cook ~ Gourmet Ambassador to join our team. As a key member of our Nutritional Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our patients, guests, and staff.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to meet the dietary needs of our patients and guests.
• Conduct patient diet assessments and develop personalized meal plans to ensure optimal nutrition and satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, adhering to hospital regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Director to plan and execute special events, catering services, and menu development.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient and guest needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous quality improvement of our food service operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience as a Cook or Nutritional Services Ambassador II preferred.
• Food Handler's certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires working irregular hours, including call hours, in a physically demanding and high-stress environment. Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions is possible.
