About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program at South Brooklyn Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, and individual, group, family, and substance use therapy services
  • Collaborate with a care team to provide comprehensive in-home and in-community treatment
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment
Requirements
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified Attending Psychiatrist
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • Experience and training in the use of long acting psychotropic medication required
  • Experience with Assertive Community Treatment or Mobile Crisis Team preferred
