Position Summary:

The role involves being an integral part of the XL Specialized Trailers workforce. The primary responsibility is to execute a comprehensive range of specialized coating tasks by utilizing paint spraying equipment to apply various coatings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze information from shop orders and drawings to understand painting specifications.
  • Set up and operate spray paint systems and pressure-pot systems for applying primer and top coat paints, while handling solvents, cleaners, and coatings.
  • Utilize an overhead crane to move components safely.
  • Assist in preparing components, including sanding and repainting as necessary.
  • Conduct self-inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain equipment functionality by performing preventive maintenance and adhering to operational procedures.
  • Address painting issues by adjusting processes and communicating with supervisors for additional support.
  • Document production, quality, and time metrics accurately.
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment by following established procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Identify potential safety and health hazards by assessing environmental and operational conditions.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as required.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned to enhance the overall efficiency of XL Specialized Trailers.

Education and Experience:

  • Ability to wear a respirator as needed.
